I was contacted by the mum of a young actress (student) currently studying her craft at the David Stinson Theatre School. She was looking to apply for her Spotlight Portfolio and needed professional headshots to register and support her daughter’s application.

Me being me! I suggested we also explore taking some fine-art beauty portraits for her portfolio!
While I wouldn’t recommend using “stronger post-processed” photographs for your Spotlight portfolio (These should be kept natural for casting agents to see the real you), these are more stylised and go beyond the traditional headshot, capturing a more artistic and timeless feel like a painting.
They’re a great way to add variety to a portfolio, offering the professional polish of a headshot and the more creative depth of fine-art photography.
