CHILD MODELLING, ACTING & PERFORMING ARTS PHOTOGRAPHY

Standout teen and child model portfolios & headshots to showcase your child’s unique personality charm and stand out in the competitive industry

Why Invest in a Children's Model Portfolio and headshot session?

Whether your child (10 to 17 years old) is just starting their modelling, acting, or performing arts journey, a high-quality portfolio and children’s headshots are the crucial first step.

A child modelling headshots or performing arts portfolio is a visual CV for your child.

A tool for demonstrating your child’s individuality, versatility, & character to agencies and casting directors.

Headshots & Portfolio to showcase their potential for various roles and opportunities.

First impressions are crucial.

We want to make it easy for agents and performing arts schools to find the “right” child for the “job.” The easier we make it for them, the higher the chance your child will be chosen for their needs.

ADDRESSING YOUR CONCERNS AS A PARENT

I get it! My daughter is a performing arts major currently studying at Rose Bruford, a creative university in Sidcup, South East London. I understand you may have reservations or uncertainties about the process (especially if this is your first time).

“What if my child is shy or nervous?”

Children don’t need to be natural performers to create a great portfolio. My approach is calm, patient, and fun, helping your child feel comfortable in front of the camera. I allow plenty of time for them to relax so their true personality shines through.

“I've never done this before.”

I’ll coach you through every step of the process, offering you tips on what to wear choices. The goal is to balance casual, stylish, and playful styles to create a diverse portfolio.

“I’m not sure if this is right for my child.”

Whether your child is just exploring modelling or has already signed up with an agency, a portfolio is a flexible tool that grows with them. I’ll help you determine how to capture their unique strengths and adapt to your goals. And if not, you will have some beautiful photographs to treasure regardless!

FAQs

The best way to learn more about a portrait session is to just give me a call for a chat where I will be happy to answer any questions. In the meantime here are a few frequently asked questions to help you.

Typically, I photograph 10—to 17-year-olds. However, I will consider shooting younger children if they are experienced, understand, and can follow simple directions. This is a professional portfolio shoot, so good behaviour is expected.

That’s a great question. While both involve high-quality photography, model portfolio sessions (especially for children) require a completely different approach, planning, and level of support.

  1. Children’s sessions often need more flexibility. Breaks, outfit changes, nerves, and working at your child’s pace. We never want to rush them, especially when we’re aiming for a diverse and strong portfolio of images.
  2. A portfolio shoot is designed to showcase a larger range of poses, expressions, and scenarios. That means more setup, more shooting time, and more image selection and post-processing.
  3. My portfolio sessions include guidance on how to present your child professionally to agencies and clients. That means advice on what to wear, how to stand out, and what kinds of images work best in the modelling and performing arts industry.
  4. I spend extra time reviewing, selecting, and editing images that truly show your child’s potential. This isn’t just about making them look nice; it’s about creating a professional portfolio that aligns with agency expectations and casting calls.

You’re not just investing for time on the day, but for experience, insight, hi-end post-processing and a service that supports you through the whole process, resulting in a beautiful portfolio.

Don’t forget to get in touch to learn about current special deals!

I typically process and send to you to make your selection within 2 weeks after the session.

This is a professional portfolio shoot, and we are focusing on your child. However, if time permits, I will include a few parent and child photos if requested. Please note the studio is primarily a headshot studio and unsuitable for groups. I typically request only one adult be present during the shoot.

Preparation is key to a successful session. Before the shoot, I will send you a prep guide that details wardrobe and preparation. However, a key factor is to ensure your child gets plenty of rest the night before and has a healthy meal. Bring snacks and water, too.

No, I’m upfront about pricing and the images included in your package. You’ll receive a curated selection of high-quality photos that cover all the essentials. While I offer additional options for those interested, there is no pressure to purchase more than you need.
